The team at Flash Farm are trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches and adopt a multi-modal approach to develop individualised supports for each client. Individual support is available to participants of any age.

Life and Social Skills Group

The Flash Farm Life and Social Skills program is a group program designed for young people aged 7-17. Our programs offer participants a hands-on, experiential learning environment to develop their functional life skills such as cooking and hygiene as well as their social, emotional and communication skills. Flash Farm is a nurturing community for participants from all walks of life to learn about themselves and their capabilities. Activities also promote the development of speech, reading and writing skills.

Cultivating Skills

Cultivating Skills, a comprehensive and immersive program designed to equip young individuals aged 16 to 21 with essential transferrable skills for a successful entry into the workforce. This dynamic program integrates hands-on experiences in animal care, sustainable farming practices, and agriculture, offering a unique learning journey for those passionate about animals, farming, nature, gardening, animal studies, and veterinary sciences

 

Healthy Herds

Healthy Herds is a group psychoeducational program for young people aged 7-12 years old. Healthy Herds has a focus on building skills to help participants identify and form healthy relationships. Themes explored include: Communication, healthy relationships, boundaries, and friendships.

P.A.W.S (Psychoeducational Awareness & Wellbeing Skills)

P.A.W.S (Psychoeducational Awareness & Wellbeing Skills) is a structured psychoeducational group therapy programs for children aged 7-12. This program is designed to help the participant to build social and emotional skills. Animals are integrated into sessions as a model, modelling to participants a healthy way of living and behaving. P.A.W.S has a focus on building participants skills in emotional regulation and emotional intelligence. Themes explored include: emotional regulation, awareness, feelings, and thoughts.

LEGO® Mates

LEGO® Mates is a fun and engaging group program aimed at developing participants social communication skills. LEGO® Based Therapy is an evidence-based approach developed by neuropsychologist Dr. LeGoff (2004). In this model, group participants are supported by qualified and certified therapists to develop their communication and social skills to successfully work together to build LEGO® creations.
